The veg bags offer a seasonal selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, are available to anyone at £3.50 for a small bag or £5.00 for a large bag that both include a variety of vegetables and two fruits.
Available to those on a low income and/or struggling with the increase in the cost of living.
The Veg Bag Scheme also gives access to a free meal at the SYDNI café. To develop the Scheme further, we will be offering cookery workshops to the local community to improve cooking skills and enable people to cook healthy foods on a low budget.
In addition, we offer a range of food services for people experiencing financial difficulties. These include e.g. the provision of foodbank vouchers for Trussel Trust sites around the local areas. A range of advice and signposting to other services will be available. These include Debt Advice at the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Brunswick Hub, Community Pantry, , Act on Energy, and Warwick District Council.
