MONDAY

  • Zumba Gold 9.30 – 10.30am, £5

Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. The class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.

  • Baby time for those aged 0-walking, 10-11.15am.

  • Parkinson’s Physio 10.45 – 12:15pm

This group helps those with Parkinson’s to benefit from an exercise designed to assist and support in slowing down the effects of Parkinson’s Disease. Benefits include improved flexibility and posture through stretching and postural re-education, increased speed and amplitude of movements through muscle strengthening and mobilisation exercises, and much more.

Cubs and Beavers are due to start back at SYDNI on 19th or 26th September. If there is anyone out there that would like to be trained up as a Scout/Cub/Beaver leader or maybe has been a leader in the past please do contact us as we would be pleased to hear from you.


TUESDAY

  • Art for Wellbeing (Not the Art Class) 1.30 – 3.30pm, free

An art group to explore your creative side. No skill necessary at all, its all about being creative for wellbeing and fun. Some people choose to bring their own art projects to do at the group. All are very welcome.

  • ILEAP Drama Workshop 6:30 – 7:45pm

WEDNESDAY

  • ESOL Beginner & Intermediate levels, 9.30 – 11.30am, first class if free and then £2 subsequent lessons
  • Walking Group 10:20 – 11.20am, hot drink in the café afterwards

Whether you’re walking for health or just to explore the local area on foot, walking is a great way enjoy the great outdoors and meet others looking to go out and walk. Our walk leaders will welcome you on every walk and provide a safe, sociable and fun environment for you to meet like-minded people.

A welcoming space to learn some new skills and practise some old ones. The group is inclusive and welcoming to all who would like to join. Please contact us on 01926 422071 to book your place.

  • MIND Wellbeing Hub, 2 – 5pm

Peer support is when people use their own experiences to help each other. This group provides a space where you feel accepted and understood. It’s important to look after ourselves, physically, emotionally and mentally. Mind staff are also available for advice and guidance with regards to your mental wellbeing.

  • The BRAKES Youth

Free multi-sports for kids, 5-5.45pm for 6-10 year olds and 6-6.45pm for 11-16year olds


THURSDAY

  • Community Veg Bags, pick up your bag from 1pm.

Order a large Veg bag for £5 or a small bag for £3.50 and £1 for half a dozen eggs.

  • Chair Exercise, 9.15 – 10.15am, £4 per session
  • Turning Point Wellbeing Hub 9.30 – 12pm

Saturday

  • Kumon English and Maths, 9-11am
  • Repair Café, 11-2pm, first Saturday of the month
  • If you hate throwing away broken things but don’t know if they can be mended come to the Repair Cafe. Our aim is to keep things out of landfill. Toys, electrical items such as hoovers and CD players, jewellery, sewing repairs, bikes and leather items like handbag straps are some of the things we can tackle. Volunteers are always welcome. Repairs are free but donations are welcome. All electrical items that are repaired at PAT tested before they leave the cafe. And if we can’t mend it at least you can throw it away with a clear conscience.
