What's On at The SYDNI Centre?

MONDAY

Zumba Gold: 9.30am – 10.30am
Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity. The class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba® choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination.

Babytime: 9.30am – 11am
Contact the Children and Family Centre 01926 337506, to book on to this social and supportive group for babies and their parents/carers.

Chair Exercises: 11.45am – 12.45pm
As we get older, exercise becomes difficult and can place a strain on joints and muscles, which can lead to pain and injury. Chair exercises help you stay fit and healthy, without placing undue stress on your body. Seated exercise offers all the benefits of standing exercise, without the risk. Chair exercises will keep you flexible, improving your range of motion and mobility, making daily life easier.

Parkinson’s Physio Group: 11.00am – 12.45 pm
This group helps those with Parkinson’s to benefit from an exercise designed to assist and support in slowing down the effects of Parkinson’s Disease. Benefits include improved flexibility and posture through stretching and postural re-education, increased speed and amplitude of movements through muscle strengthening and mobilisation exercises, and much more.

Table Tennis: 1.00 pm – 4.30 pm
Join the SYDNI Table Tennis group every week, learn the game, develop and practice your skills, meet other players. Please call 01926 422071 to book your place.

Gardening Club: We are currently seeking a Volunteer Lead Gardener – get in touch if you would like to help!

Cubs & Scouts: 6.30pm – 8.30pm

Art for Wellbeing :1:30pm – 3:30pm

An art group to explore your creative side. No skill necessary at all, its all about being creative for wellbeing and fun. Some people choose to bring their own art projects to do at the group. All are very welcome.

SYDNI Walking Group:10.15am
Whether you’re walking for health or just to explore the local area on foot, walking is a great way enjoy the great outdoors and meet others looking to go out and walk. Our walk leaders will welcome you on every walk and provide a safe, sociable and fun environment for you to meet like-minded people.

This group provides a space where you feel accepted and understood. It’s important to look after ourselves, physically, emotionally and mentally. Mind staff are also available for advice and guidance with regards to your mental wellbeing.

Community Veg Bags:Collection from 12.30pm
Order a Large Veg bag for £5 or small for £3.50 on of before Tuesday each week for collection on a Thursday. Huge value for money food co-operative.

Turning Point Wellbeing Community Hub:9.30am – 16.00pm
Get information, workshops, advice and support individuals with learning disabilities courtesy of Turning Point in partnership with Warwickshire County Council and ISS. We offer group activity sessions in a 6 week workshop to cover different parts of health and wellbeing.
